PAPER TIGER BY JAMES GRAY SELECTED FOR THE 79th CANNES FILM FESTIVAL

Leone Film Group and Vice Pictures, led respectively by Raffaella and Andrea Leone and by Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, are among the producers of Paper Tiger together with James Gray (who is also the director), Rodrigo Texeira for RT Features, and Anthony Katagas for AK Productions.

The film has been selected for the 79th Cannes Film Festival and will be distributed in North America by NEON.

Directed, written, and produced by James Gray, Paper Tiger is a political thriller starring Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, and Miles Teller.

With this project, Vice Pictures, led by CEO Riccardo Volpato, continues its international expansion, combining Italian productions with global auteur-driven projects in partnership with Leone Film Group.

DEVELOPMENT OF A FILM ON THE ORIGINS OF ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA

In 1984, Sergio Leone premiered Once Upon a Time in America at Cannes, a film that would become one of the most iconic works in cinema history.

At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Raffaella Leone announced a new international project exploring the origins of the film and the long creative and production journey behind it: “It is essentially the story of a man chasing a dream throughout his entire life.”

The project is being developed with Vice Pictures, marking another step in its ongoing international expansion.
